Potain Cranes Canada

Potain Cranes Canada

The company Potain was established within La Clayette, France during 1928. Ever since that time, the company has grown into a leading producer of cranes. The company is responsible for over 100,000 cranes in operation all over the world. At present, the company manufacturers more than 60 models from various manufacturing facilities in China, France, Italy, Portugal and Germany. The business represents numerous different product ranges utilized for a variety of applications. These machines are sold through an international Manitowoc dealer network.

The Potain family makes 3 different tower crane families. The self-erecting cranes are the smallest kinds in the Potain range. These cranes vary from 1 ton to 7.98 ton capacity. The next size up is the top-slewing cranes that are larger and higher. These cranes vary from 7.98 to 64 tons. Additionally, these are the largest special application cranes which are custom-made. These units offer a reach capacity of 160 tons.

The company's top innovations include LLC range of hoists, the Dialog control system and the Vision Cab. The growing reputation of the company has expanded their appeal with various models. Potain cranes are often found on traditional construction sites, bridge building projects, power stations, shipbuilding yards and ship-building projects.

Two of Manitowac's largest facilities are based in the United States. Their manufacturing facility is based within Wisconsin. In this state, both the tower crane components and crawler cranes are made within Pennsylvania inside the Shady Grove facility. Here both mobile cranes and boom trucks are manufactured. Regional offices are located in Brazil and within Mexico. In addition, the extensive dealer network located throughout Canada and the USA offers support and coverage unrivalled by any other crane producer.

Manitowoc has dominated the lifting market in North America for more than 50 years. They have built their solid reputation with a combination of outstanding service and support and quality products. The popular names of Manitowoc, Grove and national Crane have been top members of their market sectors in Latin and South America, USA and Canada.
