Manitou Aerial Lifts Canada

Manitou Aerial Lifts Canada

Numerous workplace applications would require more reach than the usual job. The articulating and telescopic booms is a great alternative for these particular situations. Bi-energy or electric or engine-powered booms are ideal for rough terrain, outdoor or indoor use, so technically, there is a suitable boom lift available for every kind of task. Just take the time to figure out what kinds of capacities you would require to get the task done and what type of cargo you will be dealing with.

As aerial work platforms, the articulating booms use many boom parts that articulate or hinge. These equipment provide a maximum reach of 21 feet 5 inches or 6.25 meters to 21.26 meters or 69 feet 9 inches. These models can vary in height between 36 feet and 11.14 meters or 141 feet or 43.15 meters. Usually, articulated boom models are classified by horizontal reach and by platform height.

In order to access work areas over obstacles and barriers including equipment or shelving, the articulating booms are usually used. They have less horizontal outreach than telescopic booms, but the articulating booms offer greater versatility and better positioning. This allows better access for overhead work places from aisles and from congested areas. Throughout the variety of articulating booms, most of them could hold weight capacities of up to 500 pounds or 227 kilograms. These machinery are able to lift 2 operators and their tools easilyand sometimes extra materials.

There are both industrial and rough terrain articulating booms, similar to scissor lifts. Industrial units are normally equipped with non-marking tires and are intended for indoor application. The majority of articulated boom manufacturers utilize clean burning fuels such as liquid propane gas or LPG or DC electric power for their industrial models. AC drive system technology is common in industrial forklifts, although it is new to the aerial work platforms market. This technology combines 3-phase AC drive motors together with DC batteries for more continuous control of turning, drive speed and braking and overall energy efficient operation.

The rough terrain units have been engineered particularly to work on rugged work sites. These machinery have features like diesel engines, lug-tread tires, an oscillating axle and 4-wheel drive. These are common specialized items utilized on rough-terrain articulating booms. These heavy-duty extras are what make these machinery able to withstand the rough settings they work in.
