Telescopic lift trucks
Telescopic forklift models are equipped with a pronged lift on an arm that extends over the top of the truck offering versatility and great height. The crane, or arm, is called a telescopic boom. The boom allows the individual utilizing it to maintain a high degree of control while raising the load to great heights. Standard lift trucks could not move the cargo towards and away from the cab of the forklift, while a telescopic forklift allows that movement. The telescopic forklift is normally used in both agriculture and construction. It is better for applications where greater control and lift is necessary.
In cases requiring high volume carton handling, hydraulic attachments called forklift carton clamp attachments are recommended. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings which allow the operator to use uniform clamping force when picking up a load. It comes with a backrest which protects the cargo from damage.
A sleep sheet lift truck will normally utilize a slip sheet attachment for storing systems which don't use pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forklift forks. This kind of system is useful for overseas shipments and intra-corporate deliveries.
A man basket is a lift platform designed particularly to hoist employees. The basket attaches to the forklift forks, held in with a chain or strap which is to be secured directly to the forklift carriage. The platform has railings to protect the employees from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are utilized for fastening the safety harness of the worker.
