Nissan Pneumatic Tire Forklift Canada

Nissan Pneumatic Tire Forklift Canada

What is the Difference between Cushion Tire and Pneumatic Tire?

One of the most common questions regarding this kind of machinery is determining the distinction between cushion tire forklifts and pneumatic tire forklifts. Each and every tire type is specially suited for different requirements.

Pneumatic Tires have air inside of them, like vehicle tires. These tires are suitable for indoor use but they are more effective on gravel and uneven surfaces and in outdoor "yard" applications.

Cushion tires are made as a solid industrial tire that is used mainly for indoor applications. These tires can be utilized outdoors on asphalt surfaces only. If you do drive cushion tires outside, there is an alternative to get traction tires on the front of the equipment. These are called the drive tires. The steer tires or the back tires are specially designed for steering. Traction tires situated on the rear of the forklift will simply wear out faster. Therefore, if you do need to work outside, having traction on the front and the smooth tires on the rear would be the most economical and safest way to operate.

What is the difference between Air Pneumatic and Solid Pneumatic tires?

When trying to know the main distinction between the two tire types, it could be a bit difficult. They both work in the same outdoor conditions like asphalt, and gravel. The main distinction between the two tire types is solid pneumatics are made of solid rubber. This means you cannot gouge, puncture and pop them as they are strong. These kinds of tires are more costly compared to air pneumatic tires because they are made up of way more rubber. These tires are best suited for locations such as scrap yards and lumber yards where there can be a lot of debris or sharp objects on the ground.

Air pneumatic tires could be punctured accidentally. When this occurs, you can get flat tires from them. Before operating a forklift with air pneumatic tires, be sure that the yard is free of sharp metals, nails and scrap debris and by inspecting your work area. In the majority of applications, regular air pneumatic tires function really great.
