Sellick Forklifts Canada
Walter Sellick started making his own business after a lengthy association with a Ford Tractor dealer. He began by transforming an industrial tractor provided by Ford Tractor. He modified it into a 6000 pound lift truck that can be utilized outdoors. What is currently regarded as the turn-around tractor series consists of a mast and a counterweight design and basic sub-frame.
The heavy duty lifts have evolved in their design and construction. In the year 1975, an integral one-piece frame concept was introduced across all model lines. The standard Ford Tractor power train became retrained as the basic power module for most models. The market was for Sellick straight mast rough terrain forklifts were well established. The new design combined with the state of the art technology paved the way to hugely bigger sales in the beginning of the 1980s.
One more new component was added to all machine in 1987. Featured in this series was the Perkins, Continental and Ford engine options that came with shift-on-the-go transmissions. Additionally, the low profile SD Series and the SG Series together with the See Thru roller masts became available in the market. The introduction of the 12,000 pound SD Series in the late 1990s together with the optional fully automatic Power-shift transmission featured the technology for the new millennium.
During the year 1995, the corporation made the TMF-55 Truck Mounted Forklift, which features a load capacity of 5,500 pounds. This unit is powered by a choice of Perkins or Deutz diesel engine. This specific design vastly maximizes the complete delivery system-trailer, truck and driver and greatly lessens turn-around time to a minimum. The TMF-55 simply and easily loads itself on the back of a truck or a trailer. This specific design eliminates the need for towing a trailer and saves huge cargo space.
Sellick Equipment Limited became the sole distributer of the JCB Teletruck within North America in the year 2002. This flexible reach industrial lift truck helps to fill out the material handling products selection. It provides utmost versatility and a unique forward reach.
In the year 2004, Sellick introduced the S Series of ergonomically friendly lift trucks. These units focused a great deal on operator safety and comfort. The company has launched top of the line forklift design and a new era of manufacturing.
