JLG Telehandlers Canada

After spending numerous years working together with his brother to be able to establish their crane manufacturing corporation into a leader of the industry, John L. Grove chose to retire. His wife Cora and John celebrated their retirement by setting out on a cross-country trip utilizing their R.V. After that journey, JLG Industries, Inc. emerged and became the world's leading manufacturer of specialized material handling equipment and mobile aerial work platforms.

Throughout the R.V. journey, John spent a lot of the time talking to prior business associates that the Groves stopped to visit along their journey. Tragically, while they were visiting the Hoover Dam, 2 workers were accidentally electrocuted on scaffolding. Through following conversations, John saw a big untapped market for a type of equipment that can quickly and safely raise people into the air in order to perform maintenance and construction functions.

John decided to take action when John and his wife returned from the trip. He formed a partnership with two close friends when they purchased a small metal fabrication business within McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania. In the year 1970, with an original team of 20 workers, the trio built and sold the very first JLG aerial work platform. Many parts of the basic design elements of that very first equipment are still being integrated into the present machines

Since John L. Grove first came back into town from his cross-country trip, the company has come a really long way. They have significantly grown ever since their first aerial work platform originally debuted on the marketplace. Even nowadays, JLG continues to expand into additional worldwide markets. Many innovative machines are made to help clients work safer and be more effective.

JLG has remained committed to being at the forefront of the business. The company takes operator comfort into consideration very seriously. They try to deliver in performance, as well as safety and overall comfort so that the operator could be as productive as possible.
