Aisle Types
Lift trucks are classified due to the types of aisles they have been designed to work in. Wide Aisle and Narrow Aisle lift trucks are designed to turn in the aisle, whilst Very Narrow Aisle trucks actually don't turn in the aisle. There are certain aisle widths to consider with various models.
Very Narrow Aisle or VNA trucks work in less than 6 feet places and often utilize particular guidance systems like optical, rail or wire systems in order to travel in the aisles. Several various models of VNA trucks consist of Turret Trucks, Swing Masts and Order Selectors. These are common kinds in compact retail spaces and in several storage and warehouse situations.
Narrow Aisle trucks could work within aisles from 8 feet to 10 feet wide. Usually these are stand-up models like Reach Trucks. They are commonly used in warehouses and storage facilities.
Wide Aisle Standard forklifts fall into this truck category and are designed to work in aisles that are more than 11 feet wide.
Stand-Up Ergonomics
The stand-up ergonomics include "Ergomat" padding with a sloped floorboard that is made to reduce operator fatigue by absorbing vibration. The operator compartment is very big and has an 8" low step height that helps lessen overall body exhaustion by easing frequent entry and exit. The model consists of polyurethane steer tires to absorb shocks and vibration caused by uneven floor in order to enable smooth traveling. For additional comfort, there is a floor mat and a cushioned armrest as well as a backrest designed to help keep drivers comfortable and hence more productive while limiting fatigue.
