Clark Cushion Tire Forklifts
Forklift Tire Specs
Since the year 1917, important tools utilized within commercial businesses and industry are forklifts. During its history the forklift has evolved through various forms, from a tractor with an attached platform to a specialized high-tech machinery. Forklift tires have also evolved into specialized tires, with different types designed to suit specific functions.
Cushion (Solid) Tires
Rubber or solid polyurethane are the types of materials used to make cushion tires. They are suitable for indoor work on surfaces which are smooth. The tread of a cushion tire is bonded or pressed onto the tire's steel ring. Cushion tires are rated for different load capacities and for ease of steering. Cushion tires are commonly used within warehouse atmosphere.
Foam or air is used to fill pneumatic forklift tires. They are offered in two kinds: bias or radial. Depending on the use, they are available with different sidewall protection, tread depths and weight. Pneumatic forklift tires which are filled with foam maintain constant pressures and are less susceptible to punctures. Pneumatic tires are commonly used outdoors on surfaces that are rough and uneven.
Pneumatic Shaped Solid/Solid Pneumatic
The comfortable ride which pneumatic tires provide along with the puncture resistance that solid tires provide are the combined features of Solid Pneumatic Hybrid Tires. They are an alternative to the outdoor pneumatic tire.
Large Rubber and Flotation Tires
Used on wheel loader forklifts are large rubber tires which can either be foam, solid or pneumatic. These types of tires are suitable for moving and loading heavy objects into processing equipment or onto trucks. Big flotation pneumatic tires are suited for masted rough terrain forklifts commonly used at lumberyards, construction locations and auto recyclers.
